The Court of Protection makes decisions on financial matters for those who can no longer do so themselves. A Court of Protection order is often introduced when the person needing help has lost mental capacity and they don’t have a Power of Attorney in place. It can also be introduced to replace an existing Power of Attorney. Further information including how to arrange a Court of Protection order can be found on the UK Government website.
This will let the deputy complete limited actions on a Zing members account. These actions include raising a dispute, informing us that a member has been a victim of fraud, closing the account and exercising your Data Protection rights.
To register a Court of Protection order on a Zing member's account, we require:
- Contact details of the deputy including name, email address and telephone number
- A valid ID document (passport, or a UK Full Driving Licence) of the deputy (the person who needs access). Please ensure that the document image is of good quality and has no reflections or shadows
- Proof of address for the appointed deputy (UK Driving License, utility bills or official Government letters), unless you’ve already provided a UK Driving License with this information present
- An image of the original Court of Protection order or certified copy (the image needs to be covering both sides of all pages of the document).
