We have a brand new referral promotion that's running from 3rd October 2024 13:00 BST until 3rd December 2024 08:59 GMT – and this time we’ve increased the referral bonus so you and your friend can earn £30 each!

Invite up to 20 friends and earn up to £600. As this is a new promotion, if you’ve previously referred friends your count starts again and you can refer up to 20 more friends.

Here are the steps you’ll need to follow:

1. Send your referral link to your friend. You can find this in the side menu under ‘Invite friends to Zing’ or by tapping the present icon on the Zing home screen
2. Your link takes them to a web form where they have to enter their mobile number for the referral to count
3. Your friend successfully signs up to Zing using the same mobile number and becomes a Zing member
4. Your friend makes one card payment of minimum £5 (or equivalent currency value). They can use their digital card straight away or wait until their physical card arrives but the card payment needs to made before the promotional period ends.
5. You’ll both receive £30 into your Zing accounts normally within 30 days of the referral steps being successfully completed

Anyone you refer must complete these steps during the Promotion Period: 3rd October 2024 13:00 BST until 3rd December 2024 08:59 GMT.

For a referral to be successful, anyone referred to Zing needs to make one card payment of at least £5 (or equivalent currency value if they’re spending in a non-GBP currency). If you successfully refer someone to Zing and all of the qualifying actions have been completed, you’ll both receive £30. You can refer as many friends as you like, but you will only receive referral rewards for up to 20 friends, meaning you can earn up to £600. If you’ve referred friends during a previous promotion, your count starts again and you can refer up to 20 more friends!

Anyone you refer has from 3rd October 2024 13:00 BST until 3rd December 2024 08:59 GMT to complete the referral steps.

1. Log in to the Zing app in the usual way
2. Tap on the profile button in the top left hand corner of the home screen
3. Tap the ‘Invite friends to Zing’ button
4. Tap ‘Invite friends’ at the bottom of the page 
5. Select how you want to send your referral link

You can also find the ‘Invite friends to Zing’ button on the payee profile of a saved payee. Alternatively, you can tap the present icon in the top right-hand corner of the home screen.

Once you have sent the referral link, your friend or family member just needs to tap the link and follow the instructions to become a Zing member (see ‘How does it work?’ above for full instructions). 

If you’ve consented to receive marketing messages, you’ll receive a push notification once the criteria has been met. You’ll also receive a summary of the successful referrals. The payment will normally then be made to your account in 30 days, you’ll receive a push notification and an email to let you know it has been successful.

Your ‘Paid this period’ section of the referral tracker will only reflect payments that have been paid to your account. It normally takes up to 30 days from a successful referral for the money to be paid to your account.

To keep potential and existing Zing members safe we can’t share specific details about the people you’ve referred. However, you can check the referral tracker in the app to see the number of successful referrals you’ve made and referral payments you’ve received.

Qualifying actions

Your friend had to make two foreign currency (non-GBP) transactions – either card spend or currency transfer or a combination of these. Each transaction needed to have the equivalent value of £5 or more. For example: 

1. Two card transactions using your Zing card or Apple Pay/Google Pay in any foreign currency (non-GBP) that are each the equivalent value of £5 or more
2. Two foreign currency transfers to either another Zing Member or any account not provided by Zing that are each the equivalent value of £5 or more
3. One foreign currency card transaction using your Zing card or Apple Pay/Google Pay and one foreign currency transfer to either another Zing Member or to any account not provided by Zing that are each the equivalent of £5 or more

The following transactions were not qualifying transactions:

• Wallet to Wallet conversions that involve you converting money between your own wallets in the Zing app
• ATM withdrawals
• Card transactions in GBP
