When you send money to someone new, we will send you a one-time confirmation code to your registered phone number. The next time you make a payment to that person you won’t need to use the code again.
Please note, fraudsters can try and obtain these one-time confirmation codes in order to gain unauthorised access to send payments. ZING WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR THIS CODE. If anyone is asking you for this code, you are being scammed so please hang up and contact us immediately via in-app messaging or via email at support@zing.me.
When you enter a new payee’s details, you’ll need to select a reason for the payment and there may be additional questions asked depending on your selection. This includes really important information on current fraud and scams to protect you from becoming a victim. Please do read this information each time, as it is updated depending on current fraud trends at the time. If at any point you are unsure please stop making the payment and contact us via in-app messaging or via email at support@zing.me and we will support you.
Once you’ve answered those questions, we’ll send you your one-time confirmation code to enable your payment to be made. Remember ZING WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR THIS CODE.
