How do I add money to my account?
To add money to your wallets, tap the ‘Add money’ button on your home screen. This will take you to your primary (GBP) wallet for topping up. You can also select the specific wallet you want to add money to and tap ‘Add’ to see the available methods for that wallet.
These are the available ways to top up your Zing account:
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Open Banking
- Debit card
- Bank transfer
Apple Pay, Google Pay, Debit card and Open Banking
This is only available for GBP wallets.
Open Banking (we call it a quick bank transfer in the Zing app) also allows you to link your bank account to Zing and create automatic top-ups based on limits you’re in control of. You can find more information in our article How does account linking and automatic top-ups work with Zing?
You can use a debit card (Visa debit or Mastercard debit) for top-ups. Currently top-ups with non-UK cards are permitted, however please ensure your card issuer supports 3D Secure (3DS) authentication.
You can save up to 3 cards in the app to make it quicker and easier for you to add money. You can see previously used cards used for topping up in ‘Add Money’. You can update or delete these cards at any time.
If you ever need to add money using someone else’s card you can, but only with the cardholder's permission. They must approve it with their own bank when prompted.
Bank transfer
Available for GBP and EUR wallets.
